No don't wake up Rip. Legion has it, he used to drink and lend folks in the area money. So they signed their family crest with payment with interest in a stone he carries around. So basically you wake him up, your gonna all have to pay him the million dollars your fathers all borrowed. He's up there on lil Hunter. You can see him in the winter. But you don't want to look and see, for you all know its really Jason.

I used to live in catskill ... the rip van winkle statue got hit a couple of times when it was at the end of main street..lol

I'm from the caribbean on the islan of Curacao, and I used to live in catskill with my late husband who was born and raise in catskill, it's a very beautiful village, very peaceful, with clean fresh air, breathtaking view of the mountain, but it was too rural for me to live in, too quiet.

i know all about the story. I like the video and i am thrilled that they are making some headway in the town. However it is false promotion and false hope, if you call one such particular individual human being. " The mayor" of such town or village. If in fact there is no such position to fulfill.

That village of Catskill has awakened in the last year. It was asleep and within
the year has changed so drastically that iit feels like last year has been 20 years...We opened our eyes and there were galleries, restaurants, great shops,
and the best chocolates in the world. Let it rip.
