  • Goodling didn't mean nominee for President of the United States. She meant that when they looked at her, they wanted an interim U.S. Attorney who could also be ultimately nominated by the President to be the full U.S. Attorney (and not just interim U.S. Atty.) for Minnesota. Thus, "Presidential nomination." But yeah, it took me a couple of times of saying, wait, wtf? And then I realized that's what Goodling meant.

  • Presidential nomination??? She was born in India! She can't be President.

  • Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

  • It really is astonishing. This crowd lives in this bizarre bubble world, where they really do seem to BELIEVE their own hubristic hype.

  • A simple "I don't recall" would have sufficed. Why make us listen to this rambling crap?

Not a day goes by that I'm not reminded by the sheer sneering contempt that the Republicans hold for the public. Then again, given that people still vote GOP, they're on to something.

  • Holy crap.

  • Are you shitting me?
