have you guys not heard of metered dispense?? could have saved you a lot of time and effort

I hear you! Our senior design Project is an Automatic beer pouring machine. See the video response. Hurray for Engineering!

Also, in response to a previous responder, maintaining CO2 rate was very difficult. Instead of using a more properly-rated solenoid, we pieced together a system using two cheap release valves and an MCU to pressurize and de-pressurize the keg continuously.
It's still good to see people getting enjoyment out of a project we enjoyed seriously for Senior Design...and we know that with enough money, we could have made this thing truly awesome!
Cheers and bottles up!

I was actually a group member on this project...about 2 years ago now we started that project for Senior Design. It's kind of interesting to come back and see the comments over the year. Regarding the relay/solenoid idea, it was considered, but we were on a very tight budget within Senior Design and decided we couldn't afford the food-rated solenoid we would need.

why dont you use that controler to activate a relay then a solonoid?

lazy cunt lol

your beer foamed because you're either running straight co2 or because your keg is above 38 degrees or both. also the faucet closes too slow, there's only 2 positions for a beer faucet, open or close, halfway open creates straight foam.

That is way funny!! good job!!
Keep the cup closer to the faucet so u dont foam your great beer though!!

I'll just post this for everyone... the beer foams because our line was too short, not because the cup was too low. We tried holding the cup up to the faucet, tilting it, etc, but nothing worked.

This made me laugh outloud. Why you wouldn't want to enjoy pouring your own beer is beyond me, that's 1/2 the fun of a kegerator. I love it though, hilarious. Great American ingenuity!
