I learned this metal lick from Marty Schwartz on YouTube about ten minutes before I recorded it. He does mostly blues but has some guests come one sometimes and teach other genres. Good stuff.
I'm looking for some musicians to jam with as I continue to learn. My guitar skills are still fairly elementary but I'm learning pretty quickly. Most importantly, I'm loving it! I am really into the blues at the moment but I like all forms of music from jazz to hard rock and even country. I'd really like to get back into the music scene, this time on the guitar. I've been working on my vocals too. I take the chance to play live whenever I can, be it at parties or open mics. If you play an instrument and want to get together, look me up!
I've been taking guitar lessons for three months now. I am a very good drummer so that helps with learning other forms of music. I grew up playing the drums in all sorts of bands but got away from music for over a decade, as I got busy with my career and my many other hobbies :)
I've always wanted to play guitar but I remember someone telling me when I was very young that my fingers were too fat to be a good guitar player...What the heck! That little comment kept me from pursuing something I had a desire to learn for almost 20 years! Anyone can play guitar. If you have a passion for it, you could enjoy playing even if you only had three fingers. Anyhow, I've been taking lessons for three months from Frank Grizanti at Pro Music in Amherst. I also have learned a lot from Marty Shwartz on YouTube. I would suggest them both to anyone looking to learn music while enjoying it at the same time. Two great guys!
You have many talents Victor. You are looking superb.
