@rykember11 it was the Foley editor dubbing in a B&M S8B or similar siren. Oddly what you see is a Federal Q siren which sounds more like a cat's mating call.
Nice hobby! I've got this sequence on a DVD just to look at it on the "repeat" Soo gorgeous this M&M.. I can say that you're a lucky man to be able to collect vintage ambulances, I always wished to have a 60's Superior one day, in the whole province I can count only 10 vtg ambulances here !!
I used to collect old S&S and MM as well as cottner beveington and Superior's ambulances. Still many people into this fun hobby. My last two were rust buckets from Ohio, and it took many thousands to put them right. Always, the front suspension is shot on these cars, and they all leak like hell. Best one was a 1975 high-top Cadillac life-liner, with a Q4 air siren. spent it's entire life in Saudi and was for the royal family compound. I doubt it was ever used one time. Sold all to Japan firm.
