UA win does not impress

The Alabama men's basketball team beat the LSU Tigers 81-72 in front of a sellout crowd at Coleman Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
Yawn.
I challenge any Bama fan who was at the game or watching on television to claim this victory as a significant success. I simply saw more evidence to warrant Coach Mark Gottfried's dismissal at the conclusion of this already embarrassing season.
This should have been an absolute blowout of probably the worst team in the SEC. Instead, Bama allowed LSU to hang around and to pull within two points with 30 seconds left.
Alabama has the talent. The hard-fought loss to Tennessee earlier in the week proved that, but talent with no leadership or direction can only get a team so far. This lack of leadership was exemplified on Saturday when Senario Hillman missed an open dunk as he tried to do a 360-degree spin. If you think Billy Donovan or Bruce Pearl would put up with such streetballing bravado, you are seriously mistaken.
I've got a new slogan for all you weary Alabama basketball fans: "Anyone but Gottfried." Will Grant --

No, what Alabama and College Basketball need is players that want to win. It doesn't matter how it looks, as long as it brings home wins, trophies, and championships.

What a load of bull. College basketball NEEDS more showboaters and street ballers to make the game awesome. Senario Hillman is the best thing that happened to this school since R. Steele!
