Legendary jazz drummer Eddie Marshall plays the recorder for this tune, with Peck Allmond on kalimba and bassist Jeff Chambers on hand percussion, at Piedmont Piano Company February 27, 2011. The tune is an intro to the Wayne Shorter classic "Footprints".

  • Better than those phony pseudo jazz recorder players such as birbaro what's his name ,this is the real thing

  • he used to say traffic jams didn't phase him; he would just get out his recorder and play. this song is magical.

  • We saw Eddie Marshall play Mood Indigio on recorder during Jazzoula Week in Misosula, MT, year before last, 2009. Marshall was the drummer in Curtis Fuller's road trip of that year, playing with Hadley Claimant. The audience was mezmerized with Marshall's recorder piece; the appluase was overwhelming. So pleased to find this video on YouTube.
