Nice ideas, sadly the vast majority of "developed" westerner dumbasses are not able to accept these insights and make them applicable to their lives.

A different style of talk for you. More informal this time, more passionate. You kept the data, but you added a conversational element and stepped back from the harder form of presentation. Well, there is no right way, in the presentation of material. Whether we write it, or say it. There is perhaps just continuing experimentation. Well done, I liked this variation very much. -G

Yes, one can talk and talk about the evidence, and it all makes sense to bright people, but the real audience needs to be the dumbest, greediest types who consume with no foresight. How can *they* be made to understand or care? That's the core problem and I see minimal evidence that it's solvable. Models based on the most crass human behavior seem to be the depressingly accurate ones.

This is one of the best statements of our situation I have seen. Mr Hagens would have made a fantastic scientist.

I enjoyed the vid, but I feel mr Hagens paints a too bright picture.. As a macroeconomic he is aware of the "rate of change" of the economy. He leaves out the CDS'es, which is a huge challange, and he fails to talks about the fact that GDP is systematically manipulated "to allow" more creation of debt. I am sure ha knows this alot better than I do, and I guess he must leave something out to compress this complex subject into a 45 min lecture.
