I don't think there would be any problem for a turbine engine to produce a powerful helicopter capable of doing 3D. I think the problem more exists in finding a person willing to taunt their $5000 toy with destruction.
See, helicopters use a throttle-up method that relies on blade pitch to control lift. So, the head on the helicopter is set to a very high speed, and instead of changing RPM to control lift, they simply change blade pitch. I think a turbine could do well at that.

Fantastic. What an absolutely brilliant demonstration of your flying skills. Pity you didn't do more nose-in hovering, which I though was a bit of a cop-out... not that I could even come close to your expertise. ;) Thanks.

also the fuel is hard to find and more expensive too?

Yes, turbines are generally much slower than nitros due to their throttle responce time. and they are VERY expensive compared to nitro. Turbine engines in helis are mostly used for scale builds not 3D

3d flight ????

The extreme part of the title refers to the machine not the flight.
