S V Sekar New Drama "Halwa for Brahmins" {THAMBRAAS} Tamil Speech By S.V.Ramani.

Some sixty years back, Dravidian movement was started in Tamil Nadu with no ideology but targeting only the Brahmins and against worshipping and believing of Gods. This way of propaganda is still going on in Tamil Nadu for the gains of some political Leaders.

Two years back in Srirangam the statue of E.V.Ramaswamy leader of Dravidar Kazhagam, who preached NO God theory, was broken by some unknown people. Agitating to this, the poor weaker section of Brahmin priests in Tamil Nadu, who were doing worship duties in Temples were targeted and they were attacked and their sacred thread were cut into pieces. Periyar Statue was attacked by some unknown persons and no Brahmin people were related with this incident. Foreign people from France and Britain, having faith in Hindu rituals are coming to India for doing the last rituals to their close relatives, thro the Brahmin priests in Srirangam in Tamil Nadu. Even the foreign people are giving respect to the Hindu priests for their Vedic duties and customs.
The Brahmin community people in Tamil Nadu have contributed more, by way of promoting Tamil language, Music, Dance, Drama, Science, Maths and other subjects. They have done wonderful job in promoting Tamil language, culture and Tamil grammar and also sacrificed their life for Indian Independence. By natural they are very simple people with great intelligence and devotion to God.

Recently also on 17-2-2009 Sri Subramania Swami, the Senior most politician and Advocate was waiting in the court of Justice P K Misra and Justice K Chandru, was targeted by the advocates who raised pro-Tamil Elam slogans and punched him. Some lawyers hurled rotten eggs at Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy, and scold him telling his caste name, right in front of two horrified judges.
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Government follower of Periyar is simply watching these incidents of attacking Brahmins and never warned anybody for their unruly behavior. Several Brahmin people like Dr.Ramamoorthy, Guhan, Savi, and Yoga trainer were the well wisher and best friend of Karunanidhi.
Most of the Brahmins doing work like Temple priest, prohit {Ritual duties} and cooking are now in poor stage of living and they are earning money on daily wages only. In the name of forward caste they are being deprived of their right in getting employment and in other aspects. The Government of India must provide with proper reservation for poor Brahmins.

Engal Baratham requests that all Brahmin Associations must unite and fight to get proper reservation for POOR BRAHMINS.

I really appreciate about the Thambrass. However, there is no improvement for poor people in the community. Now a days Muslims got 5% placement in all Govt. facility. Don't try to pin point his mistake. Get the percentage from the Govt for our community and give the reply to S.V Sekar for Halwa for Brahmins. This is the way our Tambrass has to do. I hope our Tambrass will achieve the things for our community. Jaihind.....

i donno wat's wrong wit all you ppl.the caste system came into existence due to one's profession not by birth as it later became....brahmins were regarded highly cause they were doing d holy job of preists standing next to Gods in temples.similarly, vaishyas were traders, kshtriyas were warriors, shudras were d cleaners. it all came from one's work.untouchability may have started cause shudras were d cleaning ppl and dey may hv dirt on them. so ppl might hv not touched them. not tat dey r low

Karunanidhi's biological father is a Brahmin who left him in a temple because he didnt want him, and another man of low caste adopted him, but Karuna is making ends meet by having Gopal iyer as his personal doctor, we dravidians are never racists like you people, dats why you are in this country and dominating us, in fact you are illegal immigrants who came into this country when there was no Roman Law or system of passport or visa

Someone says here that we are cunning caste, such people never know our dignity, i m very broadminded. I even care for poor dalits too. but why non brahmins cursing us we should not make them to do. pls raise heads to stop these antibrahmin propagandas

@balaasp whatever....do you realize you are creating hte same stereotypes you claim to be fighting against. SO all Brahmins are evil? And all Dalits are good? Please. If you really wanna erase casteism stop fueling it! Stop taking seats you didn't earn through talent but stole through your caste. If you're in fact beyond castes then prove it. Be fair. You can't can you? You are worse than any "evil" Brahmin was. You cry victim. Steal seats, then stereotype against others.
