i think keynes wrote a few brilliant paragraphs about the ' Ricardian victory' in classical economics, which can eventually be applied as an analysis of the hayekian influence after 1970s. 'The General theory...', chapter 3, part III.

Key words here are 'intellectual prestige', 'beauty', 'authority', 'dominant social class'. nevertheless, if to assume that economy can work on its own, 'is to assume our difficulties away'
