UPDATED VERSION - old one is deleted. Still learning celtic thought...

The tab I have for this is very basic, from the Ramble to Cashel book - which covers only the first and second themes, no variation and certainly no keychange - so the I made up the variations and guessed the keychange. I'm not trying to emulate Bensusan but instead, take the piece and add my own interpretation whilst keeping to the original in places (if that makes sense..).

Still needs practice and to be played a little slower, but I'm putting this online for comments and feedback. I do need a new camera - rather than the one on my phone.. Played on a Fylde Alchemist, DADGAD (obviously) and capo III.

  • Ben you old maestro!

Thanks for your comment on my page. This is absolutely superb - really impressed! Great work with all the legato / pull off stuff, you play it really fluently. Good to see you are following the ways of god (pierre)!

What guitar are you playing here?

  • Todd! Thanks for looking - it means a lot: my jaw bounced along the floor when I saw what you've been up to - really amazing stuff.

The Alchemist (Fylde, dead strings optional...) I got a month ago, hence the sudden need to get a bit more classical. Found a celtic CD and went from there really. Trying to get my fingers around some of Intuite but Pierre's stretches aren't the easiest things to pull off and still maintain legato..

Now go and get some more tracks up soon goddammit!

  • Thats pretty good man and your variation is great, better then mine anyhow. I see we are both working from the same tabs from Ramble to Cashel.I take it your referring to the PDF file that comes with the DVD?

  • Hey, thanks for looking. Yes, it's the tab from the pdf (as was Shepherd's Delight) - my syncopation is way off compared to PB's original, however I've resigned myself to a difference in style...

Hope to upload some more things once my fingers get used to inhuman stretches.

  • brilliant it takes some playing well done, nice guitar.

  • Great work fella!

  • just great!

  • Yeah hopefully I'll get something new up fairly soon...

The Intuite stuff is pretty tough yeah. I have the tab book (signed by Pierre when I met him briefly after a concert in Aldershot!) I learn about the first half of the first track and then kinda hit a wall with it. My most successful attempt is 'Santa Monica' - a really great Pierre track if you havent heard of it. Still havent got the whole track down yet though. Hopefully I'll finish that one day and get a recording on here too...
