They sit, poring over their bibles, like figures from the past. But today's missionaries have had to move with times -- adapting to the immense dangers in war-ravaged modern Africa. What motivates these quiet, ageing folk to travel to some of the most inhospitable parts of the globe, to treat terrible diseases like leprosy, to help those most in need? Is there an argument for "civilising" Africans? Do they really need to live in brick houses? Whatever your religion, it's hard not to be impressed by these brave foot-soldiers of God.

I hate missionaries so much. I don't care about christfaggotry in general, but it really ticks me off when they go to foreign countries to wipe out their beliefs & desecrate their cultures. They focus their efforts on the most vulnerable, the ignorant, and the weak. They can't stand up to the world's major religions or to reason though. Thanks to missionaries, we have lost so many unique languages & ways of life.

@zimbabwean no all africa is like that, they only show you the bad side of Africa,,,why the don't show the beautiful good side,?
