@firefish101 you bowl or run out the hose away from the danger first, then move in towards the fire, never go towards a fire without media.

You have a garage fire. Do you really want to go inside the front door with fire below you.

Compare: youtube.com/watch?v=KoGeJhRDHY
g#t=1m05 Full with water and in seconds there are extinguishing the fire.

@MegaSammy999 You don't need to "prime" a pump that's running off the tank, it's gravity fed. You only need to prime when you are drafting water. And if you'd read the response from apmikel below, you'd see that the dumbass in the Volvo parked on the hose. If it were me, he would've gotten a Halligan through his windshield before he got to the hose. Those guys did nothing wrong.

@thecowboy09 to the cowboy09, in relation to your comment, i am an expert because i just happen to be a fire fighter myself. no fire-fighter walks towards a fire without a charged line or media.

what if the firetruck goes right by the house and goes to mcdonalds

looks like the diver had trouble Priming the water supply , it took ages to get the water on ! I can see the advantage of carrying an un-charged line of hose if you can see the fire, its in the open and its a long way from the pump, In this case i would have the line charged and water on pretty quick !

loooks like theyre in a hurry, walking around....... no media in the hose as hes walking towards the fire........ fuckin circus is in town !

They should of pushed that Volvo into the flames and done the owner a favour
You stretch the hose out before you charge it so you dont end up with a ball of cluster fuck you dumb ass, and why not pay it out towards the house. When you pull up with a pumper you pull past if possible to leave prime parking for the ariel should it be need, in this case probably not needed but good practise. You dont save anything by panicing and running around like a chicken with your head cut off, thats how guys get hurt and killed running.
