I don't think jazz is exclusively for adults. In order to secure a future for jazz, younger people need to be involved with the music both practically and theoretically. In fact the trouble with jazz is that it is viewed my many young people as the music of an older generation and not enjoyable to listen to any more. Its hard to get all younger would-be jazz musicians enthusiastic, but we shouldn't stop trying because when younger musicians stop responding to jazz, it begins to die out.

@jazzmessenger8 as a saxophonist i can happily say classical is harder than jazz. mainly because it requires a higher level of control over the instrument.

@nickusa317 i wish my taste was that good at 15! i was into linkin park (although it was back in 2003 when they where still good). been into jazz 2 or 3 years now though.

@jazzman158 dont worry, im 23 and i love jazz! love listening to it (the old and the new stuff) and love jamming it out on my drums too.
