While flying one of 50 missions on a B24 over Germany, Norman H. Cogswell, LCOL, USAF Ret. age 89 (then LT. Cogswell) as pilot or co-pilot (they took turns being the primary pilot) had a conversation with Swiss ground personnel / gunners who would object to their flying over neutral Switzerland and try to shoot them down. Norm's humorous interaction it fun to hear. This video records the first time we heard this story and was recorded on Jasper Beach, Cutler Maine while rock picking jasper stones as a response to an question from another Rock Hound on seeing Dad's WWII ball cap. The story and others were reported to Carroll County Independent reporter, Daymond Steer, on veterans day 2009 in Center Ossipee, NH.
