Rapper sword dancing - backwards. Featuring Newcastle Kingsmen (on a practice night), Addison Rapper, Ryton Comprehensive School rapper team, and the melodeon playing of Frank Lee. The dancing was recorded (circa 2004) in The Cumberland Arms in Byker and in the village of Winlaton. The filming was done by a novice on a training course and the quality is variable. Rapper is a traditional linked-sword dance from the North East of England, particularly associated with mining communities.
