The Story of Cap & Trade is a fast-paced, fact-filled look at the leading climate solution being discussed at Copenhagen and on Capitol Hill. Host Annie Leonard introduces the energy traders and Wall Street financiers at the heart of this scheme and reveals the "devils in the details" in current cap and trade proposals. If youve heard about cap and trade, but arent sure how it works (or who benefits), this is the film is for you.

  • People are so Unaware of how serious this problem is right now !!! it's the " oh ,let someone else do it " attitude that makes it fail. there are so many other ways to get FREE clean energy .

Nikola Tesla tried to showed us the way over 100 years ago!!! the world was not ready to hear it.

well........I bet they will listen now? ( or maybe not because " FREE " is a four letter word )

  • do you want 6.00 gas prices just so you think you are saving the world when really other countries will increase pollution as companies go there because there is less regulations there for destroying thousands of jobs here

  • You say "Go EPA" I work in the transportation field. The EPA has forced companies to integrate something in the big trucks called "ReGen" in the exhaust stacks. It is suppose to burn off carbon stored in the stacks and keep CO2 reduced. Sounds good until you find out that the ReGen system just shoots raw fuel into the exhaust stack to accomplish this. So to keep burning fuel from making CO2 we shoot more fuel into the system? That's the EPA solution.

  • I thought that CO2 feeds the plants of the world. If we stop the economies of the world by restricting production, due to no replacement for fossil fuels, we are back to little house on the prairie. As for the "Warming" look at the data, we have been cooling more the heating over the last 10 years. All the "Warming" from the last 50 years has been reversed is the last 10 because of the cooling. Ice in the north has lost feet, where ice in the south has gained miles. Look it up.

  • Except that scientists who prove that Global Warming is a hoax are ostrasized, ignored, bullied and threatened by left wing groups, and cannot find platforms for thier views and evidence. Watch the BBC documentary "The Global Warming Scam". When Patrick Moore, the founder of Greenpeace, says it's a political hoax, you gotta at least listen.

  • @deskset24 Getting access to peer-reviewed scientific journals and papers is usually rather expensive and such articles probably don't make a huge amount of sense to laypersons.

Not everyone is an expert, but everyone is affected by the issue.

  • Given the state of crisis we are in now, we must take aggressive but reasonable steps to develop and improve our use of existing fuels, while we develop and perfect in test markets, the alternatives. Offer incentives if needed, to use the alternatives, when it is ready to mass distribute. Since the US has massive reserves of fuel to use, there is no reason we have to rely on hostile and unstable governments to fuel our economy. We can grind to a halt, or we can hum and innovate.

  • It's time to stop listening to the pro-pollution, anti-science crowd that denies what all of the Academies of Science in the world are saying - we are facing a climate crisis that is making our global climate increasingly unstable.

As Dr. Henry Pollock from the U of Michigan said recently:

“Ice asks no questions, presents no arguments, reads no newspapers, listens to no debates. It is not burdened by ideology and carries no political baggage as it changes from solid to liquid. It just melts.”
