Recorded in 2010, & released as a bonus track on a 'Mean Old Man' special edition CD that is sold exclusively at the MIllion Dollar Quartet stage show.

I think everything about this (vocals, piano, mix & inspiration!) sounds so much better than anything else on the album, I wonder who produced it?

  • I don't really get the problem with the other guys voice? Sounds like he throated his ass of to me...Don't know WTF levi is but I like the duet.

  • @XXThunderXX1 I think the problem for me & many other JLL fans is that just about every released recording by him during the past few years has someone else's voice overdubbed. It would be nice to hear him on his own.

  • 2nd solo is not JLL!

  • WOW Peter.

Great. The piano in this version is like Money from Live at the Star Club.

Thanks for share it with us.

    Greetings from Brasil.

  • @1Fog1

I think the first solo is Jerry, and the second one is maybe Levi playing. Sounded like that to me but I'm just guessing..

  • Is Jerry Playing piano on this one? The solo does'nt sound like him.

  • fucking great Thanks Peter

  • @jerryaltman There was STILL some digital "help" going on during LMS. Of course Jerry has good & bad days, but he NEVER sounded like 'I Saw Her Standing There' or 'Before The Night Is Over' din concerts or TV shows during the past 7 or 8 years.

  • @peterdchecksfield Jimmy Rip said, in the time of Last man Standing release, that Jerry was still addicted to pain killer durind record ssession, and in some days his voice was goiod and in others sounded more aged, less firm, since painkillers mess with the voice.

Anyway I think Young Blood it's almosta incredible album, but just need to get the tape master and remix all again, removing the exagerated weird reverb.

  • @jerryaltman THere was definitely some "manipulation" of vocals on LMS. 'Evening Gown' for example was recorded within a few days of his 2002 birthday show, but he sounds 20 years younger. The reason we don't detect it is because technology is much better nowadays than it was in 1994 when 'Youngblood' was recorded. As for him dismissing that album, he's also pretty much done the same with LMS. He lost interest in his career in 1989, that's why he won't learn new songs 'live' since then.
