well come on now, you either just moved to erie, or are from there. just vile people, in every aspect of life, sports, music, dining, shopping, driving, etc., erie was an old steel town, people were locked indoors most of the time, and became miserable, ok, benefit of the doubt. but these vermin once let out of their basements just did the only thing they knew to do...be assholes. so i guess i can't blame them, they know not what they do.

Erie, its history and people are AMAZING. They should make a project of removing all the vacant buildings and pavement. It would become a desirable place to live again. The lake is beautiful. The only thing it lacks is spirit, will, and energy.

Maybe it's people like you that should be fined. For stupidity. We can use ALL that money to renovate the schools so kids don't get depressed just seeing them.I live in Texas & plan on moving next spring. Tried to figure out where to. I was waiting for a calling, a purpose. I found Erie and decided to move there, but still wasn't sure if it's the right choice. Now i saw this video and I know. People that live there are ignorant. I am going to have to move up there and help out myself!.

Concerning the poverty levels let's break it down in this way A. Lazy B. Lazier C. Laziest. Pulling out the race card and crying with your idle hands outstretched doesn't make it anymore.

The cycle of low expectations and poverty certainly is sad. Some other things are certain, also: (1) By providing well-intended "help", it is surprisingly easy to actually prevent people from learning the skills necessary to help themselves long-term. (2) It would be insane to apply more of the "remedies" that have been applied so far. (3) Anyone with the where-with-all to leave Erie's schools would do so. A suggestion: Fine parents if their children under-perform in school.
