I so wish I could meet the owners of the house in which ON GOLDEN POND was filmed; as a 911 dispatcher, I travel much on my breaks and would so LOVE to visit the house. Just the thought of being somewhere that such a great movie was filmed at, would be a dream come true. To the owners, congratulations as it's such a beautiful home/setting/lake....

I've been going to Squam Lake evr since I was only a few weeks old. Love it there so much. My brother, Aunt, Uncle, and my cousins recently stayed in this house and have been renting it for the 4th of July week for the past couple of years. THe house is so beautiful and the lake is just perfect. It's too perfect for any words to describe it. There's no word perfect enough to describe Squam LAke.

We visit friends who have a lovely home on Squam Lake. We've been to the section of the lake where the "camp" is located--and hung over the sides of the boat just like they did in the movie, watching for huge boulders just under the surface of the lake because it is dangerously shallow along the shores of Squam Lake. Saw and heard the loons. I love seeing the mountains surround the lake.
