You can go to Africa, You can build a shed
But there are many things to do at home instead
You may not have the money, and thats okay
I promise you there are other ways

Go to the animal shelter, give a pet a home
Habitat for Humanity, give someone a place to call their own
Maybe you have some extra canned goods
Give to a food bank in your neighborhood

Big brothers big sisters, kids helping kids
Help a child feel what its like to really love and live
Do your golden locks flow down to there?
Locks of Love would love to use your hair!

And when its cold in the winter, go outside and ring a bell
Salvation Army could really use your help as well
Go to a soup kitchen and serve a meal
When you see their smiles, youll know how they feel.

You may not have the money to make the world a better place
But that doesnt mean that the our problems can wait
You need an open heart, and you need a little time
You dont need a dollar you dont even need a dime
