I used to drive a GS in Europe when I visited, and boy that car was a lot better than the Chinese Ssangyong they had during that time. French cars are still safe and good, some were unreliable, but the GS was very safe at its time.

long ago I crashed with my GS in a comparable way and a comparable speed (with a speed of over 90 kms right in the flank of an heavy loaded Ford Stationcar). Most striking detail was, that the very flat boxer-engine was pushed under the car, so the passenger compartiment stayed fairly well in form.

@mariusddc Please note, however, the modes are very different. Today, crash tests are carried out at a speed of 67 kmh on a barrier offset with respect to the central part of the car, in this way, the impact is more severe because the whole body of the car undergoes a twist!
