v7

I think it's slowly getting there. I think the soda shader is very very close to where it needs to be. I need to work on the liquid mesh a bit. It seems to jiggle - due to the noise daemon that I added to make some interesting splash volumes once the liquid started to pool up. I think I should reduce the value of the noise a bit so the little pieces dont jiggle as much.

I still think I need a lot more particles, although I have now upgraded my version of RF to give me more power so I look forward to seeing what I can do with the upcoming versions.

I know the pepsi can logo is not there, I had trouble with the texture and render times so I disabled it for the time being. I hope to fix this problem shortly as well.

Let me know what you think - what else I should do.

Oh,
I'm also looking for a good way to do 'bubbles' with maya and realflow. I dont have much knowledge with maya particles and realflow interaction, but I feel I need some sort of bubbles in the liquid.

Any help with this area would be excellent.

  • the water!!! it's ALIVE!!! and trembling...

  • It kinda reminds me of the liquid metal in the Terminator 2, but brown. The particles try to come back together a little too much.

I agree. This could be for two reasons, mainly. One, the resolution wasn't quite high enough. Two, no wet maps were used, so the ground wasn't staining at all, making it look like the cola was "sliding" along the floor.

  • the bad thing with this program is that it does take into acount air pressure. in real life that fluide whould deffinatly would have behaved alot differently.

  • and one other thing. when the can is gasping for air it usually sends out the contents in waves if you know what i mean.

  • awesome animation! what kind of program does this and how many cans of soda have you spilled trying to get this right lol

  • cool, consider a higher resolution, they just look like big blobs when they are seperated.
