GM Liu Yun Qiao shows movements from bagua xiao kai men and yin shou, two basic training elements of the bagua system he learned from Gong Bao Tien, a student of Yin Fu. Typically these movements are practiced linearly, but they can also be practiced in a circular fashion. See also www.adamhsusf.com

no actually what I was saying since we have discussed the fact that perhaps his ba qua is somewhat stiff (only since his focus was Baji Quan, no disrespect intended) and yet his students seem to be very smooth when doing Ba Qua is that he was able to teach them that style better than he was able to perform it(and that is saying something, as well as a compliment) I would never insult the last student of Li Shu Wen. He lived as a martial artist should and my comment was meant as respectful

@marsopilami187 this just came to mind. My Sifu has often reminded me that the highest point for a Master is when a student takes their own teachings and surpasses them. From what I know of GM Liu, he could easily have helped a student or two do so in some regard or another, after all, every person's kung fu is different eh?

@marsopilami187 That is indeed very true. Perhaps there is something of his skill these videos dont show or perhaps he was able to transmit the ideas better than he performed them at times. Honestly I feel a bit bad saying anything remotely against such a man known to have such great teachers and skill, I've just read that baqua was more a secondary art for him and thus not quite as polished as some others. I hope my first idea was the correct one. Live well and train well *bows*

@Bastion83 i see what you mean But then look at some of his students like Adam Hsu he seems fluid.

@marsopilami187 I didnt say it was good but in all fairness( and I mean no disrespect) his fluidity is a little lacking. Again an amazing martial artist but its known fact that he had problems when he trained it handling the ba qua style of training later. Most likely didnt have time considering his focus on bajiquan.
