@sprayart94 i also had the same problem, trying to make a higher res picture. i found that if you change the blending option to linear light or vivid light it takes out all the unwanted light

When I do the stars I go to levels adjust it etc and when I press OK it just goes really grainy and grey? why ? thanks

It may be because you are working on a large file. I have discovered that anything over about 800 x 600 pixels at 72 ppi will give you the results you describe. If possible, try it at a lower resolution. Also, make sure you are looking at the result at 100% (actual pixels.) That can make a difference, too. Good luck!
