"In the Year 2525 (Exordium and Terminus)" is a hit song from 1969 by the Lincoln, Nebraska duo Zager and Evans which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the six weeks commencing July 12.

The song was written by Rick Evans in 1964 and originally released on a small local record label in 1967.

Two years later, an Odessa, Texas radio station popularized the disc, which RCA Records quickly picked up for nationwide distribution.

Great video. :) Thank goodness for the great events of 1975! The Communist victory in Vietnam was a great day! The patriotic, resilient, powerful people of Vietnam crushed the phony foreign-backed Saigon regime and sent the imperialist hordes scrambling out of their country once and for all, never to return. :D A great victory for Communism, a great victory for the people! And someday we communists will triumph worldwide!!! Down with imperial Capitalism! Long live the people's red revolution!!!
