Lady Gaga (or Lady Kaka as we call her here in Taiwan) is giving a free concert in Taichung, paid for by that city's government.

Fans are elated. Typically, international acts make Taipei their only Taiwan stop. But Taichung is giving its norther neighbor a run for its money by exclusively hosting the pop diva.

Lady Kaka was so nice, she bought all her waiting fans hamburgers.

  • How ungreatful is that sweaty girl complaining how Gaga shouldn't even be in Taiwan if her record company isn't going to let he come down. Gaga probably was dead tired and busy. She sent you food and gifts and then blew kisses. How many stars at least do that?

Please check the dictionary before giving out inaccurate info:

    1. Mandarin Chinese DOES have a "g" sound, and has at least one corresponding character for the sound "ga" in all four tones.

gā (嘎嘎 is used to imitate the 'quack quack' sound that ducks make)

gá (钆 is the chemical element Gadolinium [Gd])

    gǎ (玍 means bad temper)

gà (尬 means 'in an embarrassing situation')

    2. According to the Oxford Chinese Dictionary, 3rd Edition. 女神 (nü shén), means "goddess," not "lady."

  • @Geoffboyardee You have to press the "CC" button right next to the button that controls the video's quality..

  • @ValentineLissar I see thanks for the reply! DId you see her performance in Taiwan? I understand she's going to tour Asia can't wait! I saw her last year in Yokohama Japan.

  • @Ginne86 There is a character for the sound of "ga"...it's 嘎. And that's how China translates Lady Gaga! Taiwan uses a different translation.

  • @joseitoito Actually, there is a Chinese character for the sound of "ga," but it's not often used in translation of foreign names, perhaps because it has a funny connotation to it.

  • @joseitoito Interesting!! it's weird seeing how in a language that seems to have infinite phonemes for Us the ppl who don't speak it, they can't say the sound of "Ga". WOW!!
