Whoa... this particular track is one of my favorite in the entire "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" album. I like how at the beginning everything is quiet, slow, and soft, then the pace picks up. It almost sounds very creepy if you imagine you are at some very desolate place, far from human civilization.... such as the desert depicted in the film.
Ennio Morricone is a maestro, a master at composing music. One of the greatest musicians ever.
I rate The Desert 5/5.

This part in the movie scared me.

How TGTBATU soundtrack doesn't make any greatest lists is simply beyond me. Anti-Symphonic mainstream bias? Or perhaps a bias against westerns? In terms of what a soundtrack added to the movie, this is top ten. The entire soundtrack. Furthermore it is recognizable by so many that have never seen the movie!

I like the foreshadowing for Ecstasy of Gold.

@ArtoriusMaximus777 I watched this epic movie up to the tragic sequence in the desert a couple of days ago. It was the last thing I did before catching the flu really bad and noone to help me. The only thing that was on my mind for two days of hallucinations was the image of agony in Blondie's face and his exhausted body. I told myself I would persevere because men used to suffer in deserts and snow and famine and war for thousands of years. A case of gastrointestinal disease is nothing.

@admireslongstreet if you can speak Spanish or Italian it would be easy to pronounce it. I don't know if you're just fooling around with that question but its
En-ee-o Mo-rree-cohn (not as in "ice cream cone", though). You gotta roll your R's, though, on the "rr". if you can;t do that then you won't say it right but no one's gonna give you a hard time over that. ;)

Another nice theme from the soundtrack of the good the bad and the ugly. It doesn't even seem to belong to a western film. Italy was the best for westerns

I saw the movie in the theater when it first came out.
This piece of music accompanied by what was on the screen was so effective you shivered from the theaters AC.
"camby's men are retreating there sibley's men are coming here, but no one will step foot in this hell except you and me" tuco rules haha. god bless ennio morricone for this masterpiece and thanks for the upload didn't think i'd find it...
