Yes my sentence was jumbled, But lets clarify this for everyone, in no way am I talking about the dev team behind both games! but the higher ups above game development that didn't take the game for its potential and ran the games into the drain. Although I have had some encounters with some of the dev in game about issues and they were a complete arse and show no sign of intelligence (cough cough FS_Khestral) who keep trying to ban me from the game.

@mitraljez they surely have the technology to make a pc game with servers that could hold hundreds of people and every person controls a race/civilization and the server keeps going till someone achieves the victory goal that is set. just another suggestion for a game. like sid mires civilization... space battles, home planet invasions that kind of stuff and every player has to discover their star gate hidden somewhere on their world...

@ReturnBaconSquad He makes mistakes like everyone else. But I must admit I find it a bit annoying when you jump to say my colleague showed no sign of intelligence about it when you yourself have difficulty explaining what exactly happened.

If the game is dead for good I too want to see the code released so that people can play rather than it sit in limbo forever. I would also love to see what a modding community could do with it.

but i had my IT tech guy find the time stamp and prove to the department it wasn't me so they had to lift the ban. by that time I only had a month left to enjoy the game before it was shutdown.It would of been nice to see how far the game could of progressed. Good thing there is Moddb with their Stargate mods that are quite good.

I knew about the code of silence through out the whole ordeal with the devs limited to saying anything about the silliness of it all.

As far as Khestral: It was actually his error not mine, I was on a static hub or whatever you call them, and he assumed or someone in the department assumed i was running multiples names on the same pc. in fact it was a group of us on separate pc with the same router? hub?

@ReturnBaconSquad You are correct that the 'higher ups' were the cause, specifically someone I will not mention but everyone knows. If Khestral threatened to ban you though, then you must have done something, because Khestral is a good man who was with us through thick and thin. We did our best to be amicable to all players, but we also were limited in how we could act and could say. Everyone blamed us for incompetence while our NDA prevented us from explaining the truth.

@ReturnBaconSquad Apparently you missed the fact that I worked on the game and lived through what you are trying to describe. So yes, you are incorrect on some things. The company was Dark Comet, not Dark Horse. And Dark Comet was us devs trying to save SGR from the lawsuits and lack of money at Cheyenne. We were being evicted from our studio due to lack of money. Dark Comet/Fresh Start was created to keep the servers running and continue development as best as possible.
