@ebmizer Thanks! I just ordered Salbac from Jedds . My birds don't mingle outside and I don't go to shows so I'm not going to do pmv-1
-
i gave my birds a shot each and another shot in 4 weeks of sal bac for paratyphoid like instructed, and 3 months later they begun showing symptoms of the same disease and had to terminate 2 this week. I don't approve of this medicine!

I give salbac and pmv-1 , and yes, both shots in the leg pit. Some people give them injections in the base of the neck, I prefer the leg so I do not have to worry about hitting anything serious like the spine. Also when the bird is on his back, he looses his ability to fight you after a few seconds and calms down..most of the time. As long as the vaccine is just under the skin, the body will absorb it. The worst you can do is give him a sore leg if you hit the muscle, and he will get over that.

is it safe to use the same syringe for every pigeon?

I sanitize the needle with alcohol between each bird, 6 birds maximum on one needle. Mostly because a sharp needle works much better. But if one bird has something that is going to be spread, then it is a pretty safe bet that it has already spread among the group of birds if they are in the same loft before they even get the shot.
