If you did not know this as a funeral march , it's actually a nice piece of music.

@T3hL337Sesshy exactly....makes this piece too weak :S I prefer the piano and somehow loses the touch of the funeral theme....just another dramatic work

Yesterday died my cat... she was very small and innocent. I'm so sad...

so ..so fade...

@rkniffy ... If you'd like to hear it slower, look for Chopin "Marche Funebre" Stokowski orchestration here ... that really is slow !
-
@T3hL337Sesshy, yes, I agree something is missing.

this piece scares me ! GREAT PIECE !

@WindsorPro I agree that an orchestra version could certainly be as powerful...unfortunately this tempo is too fast! If this was played much slower, it would have been very moving. This tempo sounds like a dance rather than a funeral march!
Still beautiful though, thanks for the post!

the death is just the begin of other new life in the world of shadows and sand
Doesn't do it for me. The medium of the orchestra lacks the intimacy furnished by the medium of the piano that makes this piece so bone-chilling.

@T3hL337Sesshy It's matter of taste. I personally, like the orchestral version. Of course the piano has its own powerful impact, especially when the music is composed originally for it (the piano). Thanks for your comments, though, I appreciate it.

Dear The Stockwell, thank you for bringing this to my attention. When I first uploaded the clip, YouTube did not identify it, since I didn't know it either, I wrote the "unknown" string. As you can see almost all of my uploads are not identified (yet), except one. But I hope you have enjoyed the orchestration. When someone gives you a TDK cassette tape with no information whatsoever, "Unknown" is the best route to take.
