"(You're My) Soul And Inspiration" was written by the same songwriting team that had penned "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling", Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. By the time of this recording, the Righteous Brothers had split with their temperamental producer, Phil Spector, but they were able to imitate his "Wall Of Sound" on this marvelous tune which became the #1 song in the U.S. during the winter of 1966.
