  • omg. cate blanchett TOTALLY earned that oscar!

  • @01Marlik01 Wikipedia: "Hepburn lent her name to some liberal social and political causes, particularly family planning. In 1985, she received the Humanist Arts Award of the American Humanist Association". She was also an athiest, educated, had communist leanings, knew where Europe was and was from the Northeast, enough said mate. She would NOT have sided with the GOP/teabaggers, no sucessful actress would.

  • I've clearly played too much Bioshock. The music puts me right at ease, to say nothing of Cate's lies in this scene. Vocabulary like that's really got moxy, don'tcha find?

  • On imdb they said that during the time period, this is how movies looked. Green things looked blue. Martin Scorsese wanted to stay faithful to the era, so that's why the field looks bluish.

  • @LickMyCuntMoFo "LickMyCuntMoFo" versus the Academy... I'd go with the academy.

  • @TommyboyGTP Idk. Color grading because of copyright?

  • I'm so glad Cate won an Oscar for this role...I just wish Leo would have won too!!!

  • Oh my God, she's just fantastic. Katherine would be proud.

  • @o0Slickman0o Have you heard Katherine Hepburn speak? This is exactly how she spoke. People who don't like Cate's performance here, for one reason or another, don't like simply because they aren't familiar with Hepbrun and how peculiar she was,

  • What's up with the blue grass?

  • Shes a good actress but honestly I don't know what she's trying to do in this scene. It's not bad acting, it's just that people don't talk like that. It sounds ridiculous and completely takes you out of the movie.
