It's a bit of a work-in-progress, but this is what my '68 Firebird sounds like. Just a few gentle revs, up to about 4000RPM. It's still overly rich and it needs a good tune - but I'm getting there. The engine's a 400ci (6.6 litre) Pontiac V8, with (amongst other things) a Barry Grant Race Demon carb, Edelbrock alloy heads, Comp Cams XR276HR cam, Keith Black pistons, H-Beam rods, electronic dizzy, Doug's headers and more. Yes, the tail lights are missing - I'm currently repainting and rewiring them.

  • That bird sounds AWESOME dude! What mufflers are you using with those Dougs headers?

  • @SuperBLACKGP It's got two large mufflers, one per side. If I'm honest, I couldn't tell you what brand they are. They were fitted by the previous owner just before it came over to this country. If I find out, when I'm next under it, I'll update this response. Cheers!
