[NOTE: The colors may appear different on browsers set to Flash 10 and later, than on browsers set to Flash 9 and earlier.]

A revised and updated set of recreations of different color test pattern designs used from the 1960's to the 1980's. The tones heard are at -12 dB and appear as follows: 1050 Hz, 440 Hz, 732 Hz, 1 kHz, 450 Hz, 787 Hz, 930 Hz, 425 Hz, 394.5 Hz and 960 Hz. TV station logos and/or station info not included in any of the patterns. (Some of the recreations have been improved, color-wise and otherwise, from prior versions; and an additional pattern, not in earlier versions, appears here for the first time.)

  • Cut 2 was the experimental color TP used by DuMont for closed-circuit experiments (though it wasn't until 1965 that the remaining ex-DuMont flagships - WNEW-TV in New York and WTTG in Washington, DC - started airing anything in color; and it wasn't until 1966 that the stations had live studio color capacity).

  • pressing 3 and 9 repeatedly is surprisingly entertaining.

  • Nice stuff. I like them all, but particularly, for design, cuts 2 and 6, and also cut 3 for the very unique tone used.
