Daniel Bankole Science Symposium Presentation - Superconductivity Part 2

As part of their science research project, 9 ALA students conducted in-depth research on specific areas. Daniel focused on Superconductivity. Decades after this novel discovery, the mystery behind Superconductivity is yet to be unveiled. So far, the best attempt at explaining it is the BCS theory as postulated by Leon Cooper, John Bardeen and John Schrieffer. We will be sharing some of the long-held theories about conductivity in materials and the big leap to superconductivity as well as the enormous potential that exists in this subject area, particularly for the transportation, communication, nuclear and medical fields.
