  • I'm a Protestant, and through intensive study I am think about converting to Catholicism as well!! HERE HERE!!!

  • @911dispatcher What did I say that is foolish? Be specific so I can answer(if any of that is foolish). What part of my comment that depreciates Gods word? WE RESPECT THE WORD OF GOD SO MUCH BY NOT MAKING OUR OWN MEANING OUT OF IT. Yes there were bad popes BUT IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE CHURCH LOST ITS AUTHORITY.

  • My boyfriend a Calvinist says that my being catholic is going to send me to hell for praying the rosary. I have been blessed to have all my sacraments and I find that I'm a very happy Catholic! I ask for prayers that my boyfriend will see the truth. His pastor says we are unequally yoked so my boyfriend is now avoiding me. What do I do because I love him and I can only hope he will come to his senses. He was baptized catholic, the only hope I have is that the holy spirit will bring him back.

  • You have a lot of books behind you. You must be smart!

    A Calvinist converting to Catholicism?

A lost man remaining lost, in other words.

  • @123WalshJack Well you relied but you didnt answer my questions. I asked you to comment what the Church Fathers say about Transubstantiation. You didnt. Why not tell me why you believe the Church Fathers are wrong.

I can amend another question I would be interested to know your answer to. 'What is the pillar and foundation of truth' in your Christian beliefs.

  • @22grena I answered your question. I suppose if you keep asking it will appear that I didn't answer it. Re-read my answer.

  • @123WalshJack No my question is 'what is the foundation of Truth'?

  • @123WalshJack I dont know where you are getting your facts from but The Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy, and parts of the Anglican Communion and Continuing Anglicans believe in the Assumption of Mary.

I would like you to comment on what the info I supplied on what the Church Fathers say about Transubstantiation first and then I will answer any question you have.

  • @22grena Where is my authority and foundation?

John 1: 12 "But to those who did accept Him He gave the power to become the children of God to those who believe in His name."

  • @22grena First and foremost you didn't answer my question about which Church Father taught about the assumption. Secondly there is not one Prostestant Church that holds to the assumption of Mary. That is a Catholic doctrine. Even Eastern Orthodoxy doesn't hold to the assumption of Mary. Please answer the question. Which Father held to the Assumption.

  • @123WalshJack It is a rude statement and I apologise for that as I believe Protestants are sincere in their Christian convictions although I do dislike their unchristian attacks on other believers.

In cidentally it is not only Catholics that believe in the Assumption of Mary but some protestant Churches do too. But I will allow you to answer my points below first before answering this.
