No offense, but i felt that Sean Penn gave a much better performance in MILK. But then again, thats just my opinion

@comedyfan3000 Milk was OK. But it was overrated. Sean Penn's performance was good but not Oscar worthy. Mickey was completely robbed he should have won. At least Mickey won the BAFTA... the British have always had better taste in the arts.

@raiderfan89ify I posted the same exact thing a while ago. I wouldnt be surprised if they literally had to do lots of things in order for it to be more natural. Mickey even cut himself and some customers in the supermarket were real

i think this movie is so good cause people can relate to his situations, that whole being a tiny cog in ln lifes big wheel and in the end having nothing to show for it except the people close to you, you wheel and deal to get ahead and no matter what still end short and end up hoping the people you wronged can forgive you

I like the 'low budget-documentary' feel to this movie. It adds to the realism.
When you add that along with great acting, great characters, and a great story line it makes for a winning combination.
