This is a beginners guide on how to get the splits. The splits are perhaps one of the most difficult elements of stretching/flexibility. In this tutorial we will go over the basics needed to achieve and learn the splits. These exercises and workouts should be done slowly and carefully. The splits are seen in gymnastics, cheerleading, yoga and many other art forms. Avoid bouncing when doing this stretch or any other stretches. When learning how to do a split, please ALWAYS warm up before you start stretching.

  • I'm an overweight male, and I can already do the splits, naturally ever since I was in my teens. But I don't know what good it is being able to split like this.

  • How do you get rid of née pain when doing splits

  • @Bethbubbles98 it depends on how flexible you are. like if you aren't flexible at all, it can take months. but if you were able to do a split before, then lost your split, it may take like one or two weeks.

  • Will this work for regular splits like 1 leg infront of you and the other behind?

  • Someone please reply, if I practise all of these hard at this everyday will I be able to do splits in several weeks? I'm 14
