  • This video is a powerful example of how a coach and/or teacher can assist a student to be the best and do something hard. I loved how the coach did not hesitate to help, kept a supporting shoulder and said, "Come on, come on.", sang through it to help her through her nerves and backed off immediately to let her get the accolades. It was not about him, it was about supporting the girl. Awesome!!!!

  • Whether he got the words correct or not is not the point. The point is that he went to her rescue and made her feel comfortable during a very tense moment. You don't get any classier than that. How many times do we see people in need and do nothing? He is an example of what we should all strive to be.

  • That is because in america failure is smilied upon, students and children are praised even when they suck at doing things. They grow up without realizing, failure, is simply failure, no way around it. The only way to not fail, is to do it right. Being told you did your best when you could have done much better is fundamentally wrong, and is one of americas greatest weakness when it comes to society and international competition. Eat that for breakfast.
