Columbia residents, young and old, were fired up when Vice Presidential hopeful, Joe Biden, spoke downtown on Tuesday. Democratic congressional candidate, Judy Baker, claimed that Biden and his running-mate, Barack Obama would give Missouri the change it needs.
Sen. Biden focused his speech around the idea of change. He said that in order to solve our energy and violence problems, America should focus on investing more resources into education.
The speech gave members of the community the chance to see the more personal side of Sen. Biden, something that several local participants were looking for in the candidate.
After his speech in Columbia, Senator Biden led a community gathering in St. Louis, the same city where he will debate Gov. Sarah Palin next month.
