it's as if he's walked from the street all the way to the entrance of the building just to smoke with the character

also the background should have been blurry, to add attention to the characters and their story...thats what i would have done anyway

at the moment with one angle it's almost like you are a person stood there watching, whom they don't acknowledge, and i think that doesn't really lend itself to the narrative

also where is the Asian character from if he doesn't come from the building and doesn't even work there?

ha ha that was quite good! the one camera angle i suppose does add to the awkwardness, but i think it definitely would have benefited from some close establishing shots of the character, and perhaps if the characters were sat on a bench looking out and not at each other, that would have added to the embarrassment.
