What a beautiful tribute. Can you post more information about him in the video description area, i.e. when he retired, how was it that he passed on 2/11/2007 (illness? injury)...such a handsome animal and given his service, it would be great to see that information upfront rather than trying to scroll through all the postings, It's coming up on 4 years. I imagine that you still think about him.

I wish I was getting a new partner. Unfortunately they said I was too old. One of the younger members of the department got the new dog. He has been named Ekko. I work with him, helping him train as much as possible, and it makes me feel like I am still helping in K-9. I have since adopted 2 German Shepherd Dogs from shelters, and they help heal my heart.
You and Kevin are the real heroes. I wish you the best, and hope you remember all of Kevin's best moments.

I am so sorry. I at least had 10 years with Marco, and he had been retired just under a year. I had been a military working dog handler in my younger days in the Air Force. I thank you for your service and your sacrifice. It is too bad Kevin had to pay the ultimate sacrifice.
