Does anyone remember The Bare as You Dare Parties? I'll never forget the winner one night was a guy with a G-String holding on his bathroom sized Dixie cup over his unit.....I would have needed the Kitchen size myself...LOL

I was too young to enter the club, but I remember Z-93 used to broadcast from the Limelight around 1987 on their Hot-Mix Saturday nights 12'' show. The music was awesome!!! Now I have a visual to put to the memory. Thanks for this!

@Hurrijeff I was there too! In fact, I had been to the Grace Jones concert at the Fox preceeding that. I remember she arrived at the Limelight in grand style - on a firetruck - or ambulance...something loud! Love those days - was there the night the dance floor broke too...and people fell into the same pit that had previously been occuplied by (I believe it was...) a cougar - or some other dangeroius cat.

I was there on a night when Grace Jones came with her entourage and they shuttled her straight into a VIP room. What a night !! I climbed up on one of those giant speakers and danced till I couldn't move !! No one even bothered me up there, that was awesome !!

OMG! This was the Limelight Steams party. I've still got my towel. Just found out about the reunion on July 30. Limelight was my 2nd home in the 80's. We didn't go on Monday nights(recuperating) and didn't go every Wednesday because it was Dynasty night. Still have my platinum card and some of the 8x10 BW Model pics I used to get in the mail.
