Yes, I KNOW the video quality and sound quality sucks, the camera has shakes, etc. but this was taken with a panasonic digital camera that just so happens to have a video mode, so you can't expect greatness. To add to that, I was in a VERY crowded room, and a couple of the major shakes come from me being literally rammed into as people walked by behind me, so forgive those if you will.
Earlier this year, the gaming world lost a giant, Gary Gygax. This year at Gen Con, a huge D20 was allowed to be filled with an and all dice and was then auctioned off at the charity auction Saturday night. I just so happened to be walking by and realized what was happening after the bidding had already gotten up to around $800. That is Gary's son Luke speaking at the beginning. Luke is in the military and is speaking about the Fisher House, the charity that the auction was raising money for (I know that part is especially poor sound quality).
The dice ended up going for $1500, for those that are unable to hear the audio, or for those that don't want to watch the whole thing.
@brandtinindiana do you know if minors are allowed to participate in the bidding? Im 16 and i plan on going to gen con next year so i just would like to know

Thanks to everyone that bid on the Grand Gygaxian Dice Collection. I was truly honored to receive the applause in honor of my Dad when I talked about Fisher House. Gamers are a great group of people.
