The National Wrestling Alliance is anything but dead. It may not be on network TV, but that does not constitute as dead. Did you know the NWA put on over a thousand events a year all over the globe? Did you know New Japan Pro Wrestling is in the NWA? Its pretty active.

I hate to see the NWA title at such a small venue. At least it has a traditional "Independent show" feel to it. People just dont give that particular title due respect anymore. Blue Demon Jr is a great champ. Mexico city is a great spot for a world title match, but the crowd was small. I hope NWA can pick it up a little more in the next few years. Theres alot of great talent out there.

There was over 1,000 people in the building, so it was a sell out. Last Sunday there were close to 2000 in Phoenix.

At least the NWA actually puts wrestling out there to watch, I like Pierce and Blue Demon Jr, and personally don't enjoy people name dropping. I wish some people could show some respect then always bagging on wrestlers that actually love the sport and want to keep the tradition alive.

i was just looking up the pro wrestling rules. it's not if your hand is under the rope but if you actually grab the rope. Pearce was too unconscious to lift his arm up, he lost the title fair and square and he's just too much of a sore loser to admit it. VIVA BLUE DEMON Jr!!!

Blue Demon, Jr. was the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion on January 3, 2010.

AJ and Pearce could be a great team or a great feud. If TNA could bring him in as the NWA champion and build the company around him and his charisma, they could usher in a new golden era....but only if they dropped the writers and allowed a more organic booking style.
