I remember these commercials as well. I grew up in Copiague,NY until 1987 when I moved out of state.
The commercial i rmeber had a different voice over, and ended with "the haunted mansion in longbranch...it's waiting for you..."

This place was scary! I went when I was like 3 in 85 and my father carried me through it with my bros and sisters. I still remember this place scaring the mess out of me. Especially the rats and the lady with the snake.

I was at the Long Branch Haunted Mansion as manager 1978 and until August 1979. Looking to connect with former cast members from that timeframe. Thinking about a reunion party.

The ad I remember had a headless woman sitting in a chair in some sort of laboratory. She was sitting up against a wall. I don't recall any Peter Lorre like voice either. I went once with my family. It was pretty cool and scary.

me too. i think the people running was preceeded by a vampire jumping out of a picture frame... if my memory is right.

This wasn't the exact commercial...i'm remembering the one with the headless guy in a lab coat and then people running out of the mansion with a vampire chasing them out.
