You left out "Respect for Self". Maybe it is not part of Chamorro culture. So I guess its ok for those gold jewelry clad Chamorros to buy filet mignon and lobster with their food stamps that they pull from their Louis Vuitton bags.

Well, if you must be so crass, louis vuitton (sp?) and blatant consumerism are not part of Chamorro culture. They are colonial imports, much like the "criticize and do nothing" attitude you represent.

Good comment!! LOL. Sure looks like part of the Chamorro culture today. Zero self respect. So many Chamorros just want to get the subsidized housing and food stamps. Already there are 3rd generation Chamorros who are milking the system. They follow in their parents footsteps. Its NOT all Chamorros, but a significant amount of us do live that way. Sad but true. Many Chamorros born and raised in the states lack the islander essence. They come to Guam and feel like foreigners in their native land.

The only way we can reverse the course of those who have gone astray is to remind the majority that we are a people of substance. Sure, we can be disappointed...but if we begin and end there then why bother - those are not Chamorros, they're tories. Guam and her people are capable of SO MUCH more than what we have achieved, and even more than what we think we can achieve. Believe and be a part, do your part, and lift up Guam.

Thanks for the video, you did an outstanding job.

This is a shout out for all the people from Guam who live in other countries "PLEASE" don't forget where you come from, remember that deep down inside you have your ISLAND ROOTS. I myself had forgotten about my ROOTS, but thanks to this video it was able to touch me deep inside so I could remember about my ROOTS. Thanks David Cruz from Cali.

@karelingab ---- iam filipino...i agree, you should stay chamoru...your culture is beautiful and unique...so many in common with my own...in fact, guam was administered by the same same spanish governors that govern the philippines back in the colonial days...we are distant brothers

LOOKER68, This video is supposed to be a positive thing and you just couldn't help but tear it down. You will find lazy people in all races. To single out Chamorros is just wrong. You are not Chamorro although you are trying to pass yourself off as one. Think about where you came from and the poverty and low class there before you attack Chamorros.

know of families that are already 3rd generation abusers of the system. and i see them spending their food stamps on pricy foods. system is made to assist people so they can get back on their feet. but so many are doing nothing to improve themselves. other breeds coming here have sacrificed to be away from their own homelands and family. Chamorros dont make that sacrifice. we are home already. and so many of us are just plain LAZY. no shame. tai mamalao!

If Chamorros cared about Guam, so many of them wouldnt be leaving the island. US military and Filipinos will outnumber Chamorros within a few years. And you think they care about this island?  So many Chamorros just want to leave and go to live in the states. I do my part, but its all the low class Chamorros that dont give a sh*t. All they want is their food stamps and section 8 housing. THis video may be about respect, but i dont respect those low class Chamorros. They dont respect themselves.
