If we are at the end of a cash economy, then a national credit card must be available which establishes a baseline national interest rate. All interest on this debt, beyond processing costs, should be used to pay down the national debt.
There is absolutely NO reason why private corporations should be allowed to sap the national economy at the rate of 15 to 25 percent interest, simply to provide what has become our standard means of transaction.
@bagbypdx1 The real solution is going back to real American money (no intrest) , which hasn't been around for a while.

I don't have any credit cards. I am 36 and have never and will never use one. If I can't afford it, I won't buy it.
